KG based in Wiesbaden currently operates 43 establishments in 35 German cities, including 40 under the name Alex - Their design is based on the traditional French-style coffee houses. Its cost was 11 million German gold marks, about €80 million - In 1971 a room in the tower was only discovered accidentally during a search for a document fallen behind a filing cabinet. It was replaced by a brick church in the 14th century, which was eventually destroyed by fire in 1842. - The church was completely rebuilt by 1874, and was the tallest building in the world from 1874 to 1876 - It was designed by the English architect George Gilbert Scott. - The remains of the old church are the second-tallest structure in Hamburg.
